The NFL and NFL Players Association have partnered with programs such as the IFA and Professional Athlete Franchise Initiative to provide players with resources to help them invest in transitional and second-career opportunities. IFA co-hosted the first NFL Franchising Boot Camp in April that drew about 25 players and 10 of their spouses. "I thought franchising could be a good fit for an athlete because it has the support. It's almost like a business with a coach, with a game plan," said Michael Stone, a former NFL player and founder of the PAFI.
