China's manufacturing sector is on the verge of a technological revolution as a wave of industrial robots is set to enter the industry over the next five years. With rising labor costs, an aging workforce and a generation of young workers unwilling to perform manual jobs, Chinese manufacturers believe that industrial robots with improved capabilities are the best way to fill the country's labor shortage. "It's clear that automation is the future trend in China, but the big question is how to bring down the costs for robots," said Yancey Hai, chairman of Delta Electronics.
