Dominik Asam, chief financial officer of Infineon Technologies, told the Boersen-Zeitung newspaper that the chipmaker is expecting to post a higher profit in the current fiscal year. "We will most likely earn about 20% more profit than previously planned in the 2013 fiscal year (ending Sep. 30)," he said, adding, "After two years of stagnation, a recovery is on the horizon for the global semiconductor industry."
