The 10 countries with the best overall infrastructure system include a number of European countries, such as Switzerland, Finland, the Netherlands, Austria, France and Germany, according to the world Global Competitiveness Report 2012-2013 by the World Economic Forum. The list also includes Iceland, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. The U.S. took 18th place for its overall infrastructure, with its best ranking -- No. 16 -- given to the country's port system.
