Older people are working at record rates, but the job market for young people has yet to fully recover from the recession, data shows. More than 25% of women and 35% of men who were between the ages of 65 and 69 were employed this summer. "What appears to be happening is that many people are postponing retirement if they can, while younger people are having trouble getting jobs," writes Floyd Norris.
