NASA has chosen four possible landing sites for its next mission to Mars, which is slated for 2016 and will study the planet's core. The space agency is focusing on the "Elysium Planitia" region of the Red Planet for its InSight mission. The goal is to land a three-legged probe on Mars that will drill up to 15 feet below the surface in an attempt to determine whether the planet's core is liquid or solid.
