A lawsuit seeking to force the state of Ohio to recognize the out-of-state marriage of two same-sex couples on death certificates has been expanded to include all same-sex couples in the state. Attorneys have asked federal Judge Timothy Black, who ruled in favor of the couples in August, to compel the state's Health Department director to require that coroners list same-sex spouses as married if they were legally wed in another state. Black is expected to issue a ruling in December.
