Mobile marketing company Placecast is introducing PlaceAd, a location-based platform that gives mobile advertising networks the ability to deliver ads based on location and other demographic data. The platform will also enable publishers to track impressions and bid in real time. "Over the last two years big brands have been running geofencing campaigns on our platform. There’s been an enormous amount of interest in getting that scale for advertising, too," Placecast CEO Alistair Goodman said.
