A report released by Technology Business Research projects that regulatory mandates such as the transition to ICD-10 codes will prompt major health care organizations to spend more than $34.5 billion on health IT in 2014. The SourceIT Healthcare Report, based on a survey of 225 HIT professionals, predicted that health care organizations will be shopping for business, productivity and industry applications, as well as database and technology systems, business intelligence and analytics, and systems management.
