House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., plans to advance a bill that would require the Department of the Interior to let states with existing hydraulic fracturing rules keep them in place. The bill would blunt Interior's efforts to impose federal fracking regulations. "Throughout the fall, House Republicans will continue to bring environmentally friendly energy legislation like this to the floor to bring down the cost of energy, create jobs for the middle class, and make the United States more energy independent," Cantor said.
