Job growth in the franchise industry is expected to increase by 1.9% this year, outpacing the broader economy, according to an IFA report released Tuesday. The industry is "expected to start twice the amount of new businesses than the economy as whole in 2013," IFA President and CEO Steve Caldeira said. While economic output won't pick up by the end of the year, 2014 could see increased economic output from franchises, according to the report.
