A growing number of smartphone users are discovering mobile coupons, a plus for brick-and-mortar stores looking to drive traffic, according to a BI Intelligence report. The number of mobile coupon users hit 29.5 million last year and is expected to reach 47.1 million by next year, and consumers are using them at a variety of retail outlets including supermarkets, department stores and clothing shops, the report found.
