Increasing use of cloud technology, Big Data projects and mobility initiatives will drive federal agencies' strategies in the next two years and also bring network capacity headaches, a MeriTalk study found. Some agencies are getting ready, with 43% boosting security and others expanding bandwidth and aiming to reduce network latency. More than half -- 59% -- report their networks aren't ready to handle the "Big Five" network tasks (Big Data, cloud computing, data center consolidation, security and mobility) at this point.
