Sens. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Ron Wyden, D-Ore., criticized the Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Friday for not doing a better job of cooperating with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in their combined duty to monitor the energy industry in order to guard against manipulation. "While FERC has already taken major enforcement actions against traders and companies that manipulated energy prices, it appears that their federal counterparts at the CFTC have been working to undermine FERC's efforts," Wyden said in a statement.
