Senators have fast-tracked their consideration of the House's government spending bill, bypassing some procedural obstacles and clearing the way for an up-or-down vote on the bill sometime on Saturday. Before returning the bill to the House, Senate leaders want to remove provisions that would defund the Affordable Care Act. "Each hour that we waste is one less hour that we'll have an opportunity to look at this," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.
