Wal-Mart Stores will offer credits of up to $300 for trading in one of more than 100 models of undamaged smartphones in an effort to encourage U.S. shoppers to upgrade their devices. To receive a credit, customers need to buy a phone that comes with a two-year contract from AT&T, Verizon Wireless or Sprint from a Wal-Mart or Sam's Club outlet. "More and more, customers are choosing where they purchase new smartphones based on where they'll get the best value for their trade-ins," Executive Vice President Steve Bratspies said in a statement.
