Apple's two new iPhone models will lack antenna support for Sprint's 2.5 GHz TD-LTE network that the carrier obtained from Clearwire and which will reach 5,500 cell towers, Sprint Chief Financial Officer Joe Euteneuer confirmed. That network -- operating over frequencies known as Band 41 -- will allow subscribers to download data at up to 50 megabits per second. But Sprint noted the iPhones 5S and 5C will still work on Sprint's Long-Term Evolution network at 1900 MHz, which has been installed in more than 150 cities across 20,000 towers.
