A 2,004-person study of patients taking a four-drug polypill found it improved medication compliance with modest benefits on blood pressure and cholesterol, according to researchers at Imperial College London. A second trial found Isis Pharmaceuticals' experimental heart drug led to reductions in triglycerides of up to 75% and increases in high-density lipoprotein, according to an interim analysis involving 28 patients.
