A Harvard School of Public Health study of about 4,000 adults with a history of heart attack found that those who had made the most healthy improvements to their diets were 40% less likely to die of heart disease, compared with those who made the fewest changes. Commenting on the study in JAMA Internal Medicine, preventive cardiologist David Frid said the data show that lifestyle changes, especially dietary, can have an impact.
