Research from the University of California, San Diego, Boston University and the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology affirmed that vaccination against H1N1 influenza during pregnancy does not raise the risk of miscarriage or birth defects. The results reinforce CDC recommendations that pregnant women receive flu vaccinations. A large study and two accompanying papers were published in the journal Vaccine.
