TransCanada doesn't want to wait another three years for the end of the Obama administration for a ruling on the Keystone XL pipeline, now that five years have past since Transcanada submitted its proposal for the project. "If the project were to be delayed that long, I'd likely see a scenario where we'd utilize all that equipment on other projects," said Alex Pourbaix, the company's president of energy and oil pipelines. So far, TransCanada has invested about $2 billion in the project.
