A charity known as The Halo Trust is using Google mapping tools to advance its mission of landmine removal. Google's technology helps the charity survey land and pinpoint locations where mines may be present, said Halo's Luan Jaupi. "Google Earth has become a critical information management tool for the work done by Halo," Jaupi said. "It is being used every day by the teams in the field, data and operations managers and decision makers."
