Verizon Communications plans to sell as much as $49 billion worth of bonds to buy out Vodafone Group's 45% stake in its wireless business, people familiar with the deal said. The eight-part offering would be the biggest U.S. corporate-bond deal ever. The offering includes floating-rate debt, as well as fixed-rate securities with maturities of three to 30 years.
