Verizon Communications is syndicating a $61 billion bridge loan behind its $130 billion buyout of Vodafone Group's stake in its wireless unit, sources say. The loan reportedly will be refinanced with $49 billion in corporate bonds, $2 billion in revolving credit and $12 billion in term loans. Verizon might draw on the bridge loan because the acquisition might close before permanent financing is in place.
