A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the upgraded general aviation runway at Snohomish County Airport in Washington is set for today. The runway has been closed since late May to complete paving and safety upgrades including new LED lighting, improved signage and a more convenient exit taxiway. "These upgrades will help improve pilot experience at the airport and allow the runway to continue safely serving air traffic well into the future," said airport Director Dave Waggoner.
