A total of 20 hotels were sold in Ireland over the first nine months of 2013, compared with 24 deals in all of 2012, data from CBRE show. The sales amounted to about $145 million, compared with about $192 million during the whole of 2012. "Considering that there are several other transactions in negotiations and more hotel properties to be launched for sale over the coming weeks, the volume of hotel transactions for this year as a whole looks set to beat last year's figure," CBRE said.
