The marginal gain recorded by JPMorgan's Global Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index last month points to a modest growth pace for global manufacturing, according to the American Chemistry Council's Weekly Chemistry and Economic Report. Last month's gain came at the end of a record quarter for global manufacturing for the past two years, ACC said. "Growth tended to be centered on the developed world, with the U.K. at the top of the global rankings and expansions also seen in the U.S., the Euro Area, Japan and Canada," it added.
