Appoxee helps publishers with installed user bases monetize their legacy applications as pay models shift from paid to in-app purchasing and users abandon downloaded apps, Sarah Perez writes. The Israel-based company is trying to gain a foothold in the U.S. by opening an office in San Francisco and raising $1.8 million in venture capital. Appoxee provides push notifications, in-app messaging, audience profiling, location targeting and campaign analytics, among other services.
