Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, are reviving a bill to curb online tracking of children under 16 and create an "eraser" button by which their Web activity could be easily scrubbed. It would prevent companies from targeting young users with ads. The "do not track" legislation would "ensure that parents have the tools they need to protect their children's privacy," the lawmakers said.
