Canada's WestJet has contracted with Ireland's Eirtech Aviation for some trans-Atlantic maintenance. Technicians from Eirtech will perform the work -- installing cabin pressure warning indicator kits on the carrier's 737NG fleet -- on site in Canada. Despite the travel time involved, Eirtech was chosen because "our approved solution allows us to bypass routing through junction 46, avoiding additional unnecessary testing of unrelated systems," said CEO Niall Cunningham.
