Chevron is working on the fiscal terms of its Kitimat liquefied natural gas project with the British Columbia government in Canada, the company said. The project, which could be approved in the next 12 to 18 months, would be capable of exporting approximately 700 million cubic feet a day of LNG in its initial phase. Up to 4,000 workers will be needed during the project's peak construction phase, said Jeff Lehrmann, president of Chevron's Canadian unit.
