Data presented at the 13th EURETINA Congress revealed diabetic macular edema patients who underwent laser treatment plus ranibizumab had better mean visual acuity gains and required fewer injections than those who were on ranibizumab monotherapy. Researchers also found the retreatment rates declined by more than 50%, and postupload injections decreased by more than 75% in patients who received the combination treatment.
