Sales of natural products are growing at twice the rate of conventional products, according to New Hope Natural Media. In 2013, more than 1,000 new companies launched products at New Hope's Natural Products Expos, held each spring and fall. A growing number of major corporations including Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Co and General Mills are looking to purchase or acquire a stake in natural brands. More than $57.4 million in venture capital was invested in natural products companies in the first half of 2013, according to PitchBook.
