Moisturizing regularly, using a moisturizing cleanser and wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen every day help keep skin healthy in cold weather, says dermatologic surgeon Gervaise Gerstner, an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical School. "Wind chaps the skin, and heat from radiators can really dry it out," Gerstner said. Changing to less-irritating anti-aging products can also help, says dermatologist Roopal Kundu, an associate professor of dermatology at Northwestern University.
