Facebook has purchased Israel-based mobile-analytics company Onavo, giving the social network a foothold in that country. Onavo makes a consumer application for managing mobile devices and mobile-application analytics for publishers. "We expect Onavo's data compression technology to play a central role in our mission to connect more people to the internet, and their analytic tools will help us provide better, more efficient mobile products," an unidentified Facebook representative said.
