Recognizing the growing popularity of dark chocolate, Hershey recently held an event in New York City with tasting stations and flavor experts highlighting its dark chocolate products as dessert options. “We are seeing a consumer trend of more dark chocolate consumption, and that offers an excellent opportunity as we look at our own dark chocolate portfolio,” said Jennifer Podhajsky, Hershey's vice president and general manager, U.S. chocolate category.
