Sales of ready-to-drink iced tea have been growing about 7% a year, making it one of the fastest-growing beverage categories, said John Simmons, founder and president of Third Street. Unsweetened iced tea is growing the fastest, with nearly 15% growth in 2012, according to Nielsen. Brands are rolling out diverse tea products, ranging from Nestea Liquid Water Enhancers in iced tea flavor to Teas' Tea Lattes that combine tea with milk.
