Pinterest this week raised $225 million in a fundraising effort that values the social network at $3.8 billion, twice the value of The New York Times. That suggests it's time to start believing in the female-focused network, despite the early doubts of largely male analysts, Kevin Roose writes. "Undoubtedly, there were many male, scrapbooking-averse venture capitalists who pooh-poohed Pinterest until they saw its user statistics, saw the dollar signs materialize, and changed their minds," Roose writes.
