Work is scheduled to begin next month on the second part of the $380 million makeover of the Gateway Arch riverfront area in St. Louis, which will involve converting Leonor K. Sullivan Boulevard into a 1.5-mile elevated promenade that includes bike paths. The expansion and renovation of the entranceway and museum under the arch, which will cost $172.3 million, is set to start next year. The entire project -- which includes building a park over Interstate 70 -- is scheduled for completion in 2015.
