Microsoft's Tim Rains is predicting that die-hard users of Windows XP will face increasing security vulnerabilities once support for the operating system ends next year. Larry Seltzer writes that after support ends in April, "Microsoft will patch vulnerabilities in Vista and later versions of Windows. Malicious researchers will reverse-engineer these updates, test to see if they affect Windows XP (most will), and write exploits for them targeting XP."
