Mobile advertising is expected to grow from $13 billion this year to $39 billion in 2018, per Juniper Research. The prediction seems conservative, considering the emphasis of Google, Facebook and other giant players following their lead, writes John Koetsier. The report also predicts a rise in real-time bidding of the ads, which should boost mobile advertising sales. "In-app advertising we believe will move away from being a 'punishment,' as formats such as reward-based [and] opt-in advertising become commonplace," said Juniper research analyst Siân Rowlands.
