As people become more comfortable making last-minute reservations in other aspects of their lives, they are starting to take that to the hotel industry. According to PhoCusWright, last year 7% of hotel bookings were made on mobile devices -- 12 times more than it was in 2010 -- and those numbers are expected to jump 20%. Last year, 70% of bookings were for same-day deals. As such, mobile applications are rolling out so consumers can take advantage of last-minute deals.
