A Manhattan Research survey revealed that the number of Americans who use smartphones to find health-related information or as health tools has increased to 95 million this year, a 27% jump from 75 million in 2012. The survey also found that the Internet helps 45% of adults with chronic health issues manage their conditions. Cystic fibrosis, growth hormone deficiencies and hepatitis C were among the 10 leading conditions for which participants use mobile tools to find health information.
