A report from the National Center for Healthy Housing finds that 40% of inner-city and suburban homes have some sort of health hazard, such as a water leak or signs of mice. That's an increase from 35% four years ago. Center officials say the recession took away many homeowners' ability to pay for repairs, and many of the homes with problems are foreclosures that sat vacant for long periods.
