Nurse practitioners are highly satisfied with their jobs, a Staff Care poll conducted at American Association of Nurse Practitioners' annual meeting found. Among 222 NPs surveyed, 96% said they would still choose their profession if they had their careers to do over, 97% said they would recommend their job to their children or other young people, and 81% said their patient load was at full capacity or overextended. One factor behind the high satisfaction may be a trend in some states enabling fuller scope of practice, said Michelle Hoogerwerf of Staff Care.
