Some 86% of Japanese Web users spend time on retail sites, compared with 9% worldwide, according to comScore, which found that Amazon draws the most traffic in Japan, while local Rakuten wins shoppers who spend the most time browsing the site. More than half of Japan's online shoppers are 45 or older, compared with 27% internationally.
