The availability of higher blends of ethanol fuel at gas stations increases the risk that ethanol could "damage or destroy" small engines if customers buy gasoline based on price, said Kris Kiser, president and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute. The trade group has launched the "Look Before You Pump" campaign to educate customers about the dangers of using E15 fuel for small-engine products. "Someone has to start telling consumers about this," Kiser said.
