The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute has launched a campaign to educate the public about the harmful effects of ethanol fuel on lawn mowers, snow blowers and other equipment. The "Look Before You Pump" initiative will reach out to the public through radio, video public service announcements, in-store displays and other means, said Kris Kiser, president and CEO of OPEI. "Consumers have the expectation that their equipment is going to work, and that it is going to work with the fuels that are readily available," noted Briggs & Stratton CEO Todd Teske.
