Daily production of natural gas from the Marcellus shale play is expected to reach 12.65 billion cubic feet in November, 20% more than the peak production recorded last year, according to a report from the Energy Information Administration. "Everyone has been a little surprised, even the people who have predicted really high production levels," said EIA analyst Sam Gorgen. "It seems like the wells have gotten a lot better, and infrastructure [problems] continue to be dealt with better."
