Smokers tend to develop wrinkles around the mouth and bags beneath the eyes sooner than nonsmokers, a study of identical twins showed. The researchers found no significant differences in forehead wrinkles or crow's feet between the two groups, but panels comparing photos of smokers and their nonsmoking twins said smokers appeared older in 57% of cases. "Smoking makes you look old. That's all there is to it," said dermatologic surgeon Elizabeth Tanzi, who was not involved with the study.
